Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Associate Night Shift to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. As a key member of our support services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide excellent customer service and ensure the well-being of patients, creating a positive, supportive, and structured environment.
  • Safety and Security: Conduct regular safety checks and ensure supervision is conducted at 15-minute intervals, as required.
  • Documentation: Accurately and timely document clinical information in patient records.
  • Support Services: Assist in providing a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for patients, significant others, and staff.
  • Communication: Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
  • Activities of Daily Living: Oversee or assist patients with activities such as toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, meals, snacks, hydration, and changing bed linens.
  • Vital Signs: Obtain patient vital signs, height, and weight as assigned and document in patient records.
  • Education and Rehabilitation: Facilitate patient educational-rehabilitative groups covering topics such as social skills, coping skills, anger management, and independent living skills.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage patients in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
  • Documentation and Follow-up: Complete and maintain required documentation, assist with follow-up, and paperwork as required on incidents and events.
  • Transportation: Provide transportation for patients or coordinate transportation with staff members.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers, acknowledging and resolving complaints when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
  • Certifications: CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required, with first aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
