Job Summary

The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced Baseball Coach to join our team as a Volunteer Coach. As a key member of our athletic department, you will be responsible for leading and guiding our student-athletes in the sport of baseball.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive coaching plan to enhance the skills and knowledge of our student-athletes.
  • Plan and schedule regular practices and meetings to ensure the team is well-prepared for competitions.
  • Assist the Head Coach in maintaining equipment, supplies, and uniforms, and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Attend all meetings and events as scheduled by the Athletic/Activities Coordinator.
  • Recommend and implement disciplinary actions as necessary to maintain a positive and respectful team environment.
  • Monitor the safety conditions of the facility and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Attend WIAA Rules meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest rules and regulations.
  • Ensure all team members are properly trained in AED/CPR/First Aid procedures.

Requirements

  • Teacher certification or WIAA approval.
  • Member of the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District (preferred).
  • Knowledge of basic skills involved with the sport of baseball.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to develop their skills and appreciation for the sport.
  • Successful completion of the WIAA rules exam.
  • Proof of ASEP or PACE course or examination.
