We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Care Specialist to join our team at Heartland Community Health Center. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists and dental hygienists in daily clinical and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities- Check patients in for dental visits, perform needed x-rays, and obtain vital signs
- Assist dentists and/or dental hygienists in daily clinical and operational activities, including use of four-handed practices and provision of proper instruments during procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures, ensure that appropriate instructions and equipment are arranged and ready, and maintain a clean oral working area
- Educate patients on techniques of flossing, brushing, overall oral health, and the role of the dental care team
- Clean and sterilize instruments, follow infection control protocols, and complete required daily, monthly, and annual equipment maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Any combination of education and work experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying
- Spanish Bilingual preferred, but not required
Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 7:00pm. Hours are approximate and may be altered by supervisor(s) as needed.
