Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients, documenting chief complaints, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will also be responsible for preparing treatment rooms, stocking office supplies, and requesting supply orders as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Room patients for multiple providers
  • Document chief complaint/medical history/update medication list
  • Request/Gather all necessary data for each patient medical record
  • Maintain a clean/organized work area including front office/triage area/examination/treatment rooms
  • Prepare treatment rooms before each examination
  • Stock office/medical supplies and request supply orders timely based on inventory needs
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year recent medical front office experience
  • Good communication skills including verbal and written
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required
  • Good work history and positive references
  • Computer skills including EMR

Typical Physical Demands:

The position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
