Unlocking Abilities Behavior & Learning is a young company founded by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. We offer intensive one-on-one therapy to children diagnosed with Autism, developmental disorders, and behavioral disorders. Our mission is to assist each child in reaching their full potential by implementing evidence-based principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Behavior Technician or Registered Behavioral Technician to join our team in Morris, IL. This part-time position requires a reliable and patient individual who can work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental and behavioral disabilities. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting data to monitor progress, and providing documentation on client progress.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans written and directed by the BCBA
- Work with children between the ages of 2 and 14 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental and behavioral disabilities
- Implement behavior intervention programming
- Collect data to monitor the progress
- Attend scheduled trainings and team meetings
- Provide documentation on client progress, including detailed clinical notes for each session
Requirements
- High school Diploma
- Previous experience working in the ABA setting including 40-hour RBT coursework (RBT certification is not required) OR within the special needs classroom setting
- A clean driving record, excellent references, and the ability to pass a background check
- Sensitivity to working with our clients and their families' diverse needs
- A calm and neutral demeanor in challenging situations
