Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for organizing and conducting medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach maximum performance levels.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Physical Therapy and be knowledgeable of the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and the Guide to Physical Therapy Practice. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct physical therapy programs to meet individual patient needs
- Utilize various mechanical and electrical equipment, and prosthetic and orthotic devices to aid in patient recovery
- Evaluate and record patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Knowledge of the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and the Guide to Physical Therapy Practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current license by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Examiners
- CPR certification (American Heart Association)
