Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure that patient care is delivered in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department setting.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
