Position Summary:
The Housing Placement Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at securing and maintaining stable housing for our clients. This includes managing rental payment processes and ensuring timely assistance to property owners.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve financial goals related to rental subsidies.
  • Develop and manage a budget for rental payments.
  • Create a tracking system for rental payments in accordance with project guidelines.
  • Evaluate housing options and gather necessary information from participants.
  • Collaborate with case managers to address issues related to rent payments.
  • Document rental payment cases in the Coordinated Entry System (CES).
  • Maintain accurate participant records.
  • Assist with application processes and necessary documentation.
  • Deliver rental payments to landlords and property owners.
  • Advocate for participants in securing rental units.
  • Support clients in acquiring essential furnishings.
  • Participate in training and community meetings as required.
  • May take on additional community advocacy roles as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • High School diploma with at least 3 years of experience in office administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized team player.
  • Understanding of the housing needs of previously incarcerated individuals is preferred.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are highly desirable.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or social sciences with relevant experience.
  • Awareness of the impact of cultural and social factors on behavior.
  • Knowledge of local housing markets and community resources.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with landlords and community service providers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse populations.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and participant welfare.
