About the Role:
This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a strong understanding of contracts, laws, and regulations. You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and Negotiating Contracts: You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts with various stakeholders, including government entities and commercial partners.
- Contract Management: You will be responsible for managing contracts, including form contracts, NDAs, license agreements, release agreements, MSAs, SOWs, termination notices, contract amendments, and purchase orders.
- Regulatory Compliance: You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including laws and regulations related to contracts, intellectual property, and government acquisition.
- Collaboration and Communication: You will be responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience: You must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts or a combination of Juris Doctor and minimum 2 years' work experience.
- Contract Knowledge: You must have a strong understanding of contracts, laws, and regulations, including FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and EAR.
- Government and Commercial Contracts: You must have experience managing government and commercial contracts, including form contracts, NDAs, license agreements, release agreements, MSAs, SOWs, termination notices, contract amendments, and purchase orders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: You must have a strong understanding of one or more of the following: technology licensing, supplier administration, supply chain, purchasing, material management, price/cost analysis, and/or production control principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
Desired Qualifications:
- Government Contract Experience: You must have experience managing contracts related to the sale of commercial items to government entities, including federal and international buyers.
- International Government Acquisition Regulations: You must have an understanding of international government acquisition regulations for the Canadian Space Agency, United Kingdom/UK Space Agency, or European Space Agency.
- Industry Experience: You must have experience in one or more of the following industries: space, technology, cyber security, SaaS, emerging technology, U.S. federal and/or foreign governments.
