Job Summary

The Registered Nurse I is a key member of our healthcare team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Humble. As a Registered Nurse I, you will provide direct patient care to inpatients, assessing patients and creating a plan of care that is individualized and reflective of each patient's needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to inpatients, including assessing patients and creating a plan of care.
  • Supervise activities of care, treatment, and services provided by LPN/LVNs, RNTs/CNAs, and other staff on assigned unit and shift.
  • Communicate information with the interdisciplinary team and report patient concerns and changes in condition to supervisor and/or physician in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations.
  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
  • CRRN certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds, including medical supplies and equipment, and the transferring and repositioning of patients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

  • May work under stressful circumstances at times.
