Job Summary

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a skilled Cook - Nutrition Services to join our team. As a key member of our Nutrition Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by preparing and distributing nutritious meals.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the production and dissemination of patient menus in compliance with patient care plans and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare and distribute food to patients and staff on a daily basis, adhering to standardized recipes and patient preferences.
  • Ensure the safety and sanitation of the department, adhering to regulatory agency standards.
  • Utilize patient electronic medical records to ensure compliance with prescribed therapeutic diets.
  • Assist with fiscal management and staff education and training.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year work experience in the Food Service field.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Leadership and adaptability skills.
  • Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Food Safety.
