Job Title: Generative AI Technical Product Leader
Elsevier, a global leader in information and analytics, is seeking a seasoned Generative AI Technical Product Leader to drive the strategic direction of our Generative AI capabilities. As a key member of our Technology leadership team, you will be responsible for defining, driving, and delivering on an aligned technology strategy that meets the needs of our portfolio and drives revenue growth.
About the Role
The Generative AI Technical Product Leader will work closely with product leaders across the business and technology leaders to develop and articulate the strategy and execution roadmap for Technology. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies into our portfolio roadmap, driving the GAI vision, road map, and strategy to fruition.
About the Team
You will build a team to help drive the strategic Generative AI Strategy, Vision, and Road Map. This is a critical role in driving a cohesive GAI strategy for Elsevier that addresses the needs of our collective businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies into our portfolio roadmap.
- Drive the GAI vision, road map, and strategy to fruition.
- Work strategically and tactfully with product leaders and technology leaders to develop and articulate the strategy and execution roadmap for Technology.
- Coordinate the strategic planning process, mobilize specialists where required, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Support the CTO in the development and articulation of organizational objectives and key results, ensuring alignment across the Technology teams delivering on the GAI strategy.
- Evangelize and incorporate Responsible AI Principles and AI Ethics in alignment with our overall guidelines and policies.
- Act as an advocate at speaking engagements and conferences, reinforcing our vision and GAI capabilities.
- Ensure the Technology organization has the capabilities, processes, tools, training, intelligence, and analytics to maximize performance and deliver results.
- Support the Technology organization with day-to-day business execution by coordinating the different GAI initiatives, leading ad-hoc projects associated with optimization as required.
- Collaborate closely with peers across the matrix to ensure both internal and external customer needs are being met, working with Technology leaders to further develop a culture where the customer is at the heart of what we do.
Requirements
- Demonstrate experience leading product management for highly technical capabilities.
- Proven track record in driving a strategic initiative and roadmap creation on a similar initiative of this size, scope, and complexity.
- Significant exposure to AI and specifically Generative AI technologies, with the ability to work directly with technologists as well as business leaders.
- Possess the vision to drive our strategy.
- Demonstrate experience of product innovation, discovery, development, and delivery in an Agile environment.
- Be well-versed in methodologies and approaches to drive GAI quality, such as retrieval augmented generation, training, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering.
- Possess experience navigating rapidly changing GAI regulatory landscapes to ensure market access of solutions.
