We are seeking a highly qualified Organizational Psychologist to lead research initiatives focused on promoting wellness, resilience, and high-functioning multidisciplinary teams within the emergency medicine setting.
Key Responsibilities- Design and conduct research studies investigating factors impacting wellness, burnout, resilience, and team dynamics among emergency medicine personnel.
- Develop evidence-based interventions and training programs to enhance staff wellbeing and team effectiveness.
- Pursue external funding through grant proposals to federal agencies and private foundations.
- Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
- Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on multidisciplinary research projects.
- Provide counseling to staff on career development and workplace issues.
- Facilitate organizational change initiatives and conflict resolution.
- Teach graduate courses in industrial/organizational psychology or related areas.
- Mentor graduate students in research activities.
- Serve on departmental and university committees.
- PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Established track record of securing external grant funding, preferably from federal agencies.
- Extensive research experience using quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Expertise in applying psychological principles to workplace issues like stress, burnout, resilience, team dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in publishing research in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
- Training and experience in survey development and providing feedback.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
