Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging for patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality diagnostic exams, verifying patient identification and physician orders.
  • Acquire accurate patient histories and document in the medical record.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and provide excellent patient care.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, following policy for malfunctions and quality control failures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, administrative staff, medical staff, and peers.
  • Contribute to the effective operations of the department, staying in compliance with quality assurance and quality control.
  • Utilize ALARA standards for minimizing radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  • Provide procedural information and education to patients prior to each exam.
  • Assist in the training of students and new hires.
  • Maintain competency in all assigned areas, including fluoroscopic, general diagnostic, orthopedic, and operating procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • Training gained at the student level.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist within 180 days.
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross upon hire.
