About Hi-Way Paving:

Hi-Way Paving, Inc. is a general contractor in the heavy/civil construction space focusing on projects involving significant amounts of concrete paving on airfields and highways in the southeastern and midwestern states.

We operate in several locations, including Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Ohio, with current job sites in Nashville, Charlotte, Columbia, and future project cities TBD.

About the Job:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Production Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in ready-mix operations, concrete operations, and/or construction industry required.

Responsibilities:

  • Set-up, operate, and take down plant as assigned.
  • Verify proper input of mix design components for proper mixing of products on a daily basis.
  • Operates primary machinery and additional equipment for production, such as pumps and conveyor belts and unloads materials.
  • May oil, grease, service, and make normal maintenance adjustments on equipment
  • Maintain and service equipment assigned to plant operation.
  • Monitor material inventories and coordinate material deliveries.
  • Report daily production quantities, material usage, equipment usage and fuel consumption.
  • Maintain/provide records for plant permit requirements/assure compliance.
  • Maintain plant area in an orderly manner.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with owner's representative/inspector.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Regular communication with the quality control department.
  • Monitor and help enforce safety rules and practices from all governing authorities and site-specific plans.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ready-mix operations, concrete operations, and/or construction industry required.
  • Experience leading or contributing to a concrete paving crew at airfields/airports, preferred.
  • NRMCA and or ACI certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and or requirements.
  • Enhanced training or certifications in safety and/or OSHA regulations, preferred.
  • High degree of focus and attention to detail.
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to travel overnight to job sites up to 100% of the time.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Ability to gain clearance in restricted/high-security zones. (Airport AOA, Military Bases, etc.)
  • Physical capabilities required are climbing, lifting, carrying a minimum of 75 lbs., standing, sitting, walking, entering confined spaces, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and performing repetitive actions

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year.
