Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the loan production team to ensure loans are properly perfected in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Draft, prepare, review, and distribute a high volume of legal documents, including loan documents, mortgages, deeds of trust, and other signed documents.
  • Conduct title reviews to ensure a first lien position on all loans and escalate to the closing attorney team when needed.
  • Correspond with title companies to ensure proper recording and filing of lending instruments and finalization of title policies.
  • Coordinate with title companies and external counsel to ensure smooth loan closings.
  • Review borrowing entity documents and confirm authority for loan execution.
  • Support the closing attorneys and the rest of the legal support team in the completion of legal tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with the loan production team to meet deadlines.
  • Manage a high-volume workload with the ability to work autonomously.
Requirements
  • Transactional paralegal or title review experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of mortgage and lending practices required.
  • Expertise in organization and time management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to execute with a sense of urgency based on operational needs.
  • A "we first" attitude and a team player mindset.
  • Technology proficiency and adaptability.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
