Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Blood Bank Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team at KA Recruiting Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine and specialized laboratory tests in blood banking to assist in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases.
  • Analyzing and interpreting laboratory test results to provide accurate and reliable data.
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, etc.) to maintain a high level of quality and safety.
  • Participating in quality control and quality assurance activities to identify and address any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers to interpret patient data and contribute to patient care decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • ASCP certification (or equivalent) as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques across various disciplines.
  • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and proficiency in using computerized instruments and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with healthcare providers and patients.
