We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Blood Bank Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team at KA Recruiting Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine and specialized laboratory tests in blood banking to assist in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases.
- Analyzing and interpreting laboratory test results to provide accurate and reliable data.
- Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, etc.) to maintain a high level of quality and safety.
- Participating in quality control and quality assurance activities to identify and address any issues or concerns.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to interpret patient data and contribute to patient care decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- ASCP certification (or equivalent) as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques across various disciplines.
- Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and proficiency in using computerized instruments and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with healthcare providers and patients.
