**Job Overview**

AmeriCorps Public Health AmeriCorps supports the recruitment, training, and development of the next generation of public health leaders in partnership with State Health Departments or similar agencies, local health departments, community-based organizations, and/or local YMCAs or YMCA State Alliances.

The AmeriCorps member will provide support for various health initiatives aimed at improving access to healthy food, promoting wellness, and supporting chronic disease prevention programs in Maryland, particularly in rural and underserved areas.

Estimated Annual Salary:** $33,000 - $38,000 depending on experience

Permits attendance at school during off hours, permits working at another job during off hours. Car recommended.

**Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with local health departments, community organizations, and state programs to address health disparities
  • Provide support for various health initiatives aimed at improving access to healthy food, promoting wellness, and supporting chronic disease prevention programs
