Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance duties, including general maintenance, preventative maintenance, equipment construction, welding, electrical troubleshooting, and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment to assess reliability and performance
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities
  • Assist in the construction and repair of equipment and facilities
  • Perform welding and other metalworking tasks as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, local, state, and federal regulations
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and safety
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6 months of on-the-job experience in maintenance or a related field
  • Knowledge of welding and basic electricity
  • Working knowledge of mechanical power transmission and ability to troubleshoot components
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to use and understand calculations
  • Ability to perform routine machine adjustments
  • Ability to identify problems, take appropriate steps to find solutions, and implement recommended solutions
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities and deadlines. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be required to work in a variety of settings, including industrial facilities, warehouses, and outdoor environments. The position may also require occasional travel to other locations.
