About the Role:
Motion Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team in a leading fraud and risk protection partner. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining complex data processing systems to prevent payment fraud and protect accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build data processing systems using Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and streaming solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Decision Science teams to leverage the latest technologies.
- Contribute to cutting-edge solutions in payment fraud and account protection.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in Hadoop FS and Kafka.
- Strong programming experience in Python/Java.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in building and deploying containers.
- Experience with Jupyter and Notebooks.
- Experience with MapR (hpe-ezmeral-data-fabric) and Scala.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will spend:
- 30% of your time working with Hadoop and Spark.
- 40% of your time working with Kafka.
- 30% of your time working with Docker and Kubernetes.
