Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional support to our patients, staff, and physicians.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting and supporting the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses.
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment in the operating room.
  • Providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure seamless collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Performing administrative tasks as required.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in a hospital setting.
  • Prior experience in an operating room or surgical setting.
  • Prior experience with electronic medical records is desirable.
Licenses and Certifications

You must hold a current Vermont State LNA license and have BLS certification through the American Heart Association.Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will exhibit sound judgment, maintain composure under stressful conditions, and demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $19.29-$28.50 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
