Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Computer Vision Engineer will:

  • Design, enhance, and implement computer vision algorithms tailored for aerial applications.
  • Integrate these algorithms onto various robotic platforms, ranging from small drones to full-sized helicopters.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final production, either by leading teams or leveraging subject matter expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of professional experience in aerospace, robotics, or autonomous flight sectors.
  • Specialization in computer vision or robotic perception.
  • Proficiency in real-time visual-inertial odometry and IMU calibration.
  • Experience with sensor configuration and data processing using RGB and IR cameras, lidar, and radar sensors.
  • Strong C++ programming and design skills.
  • Familiarity with GPU development using CUDA.
  • Experience in software benchmarking, optimization, and multi-threaded development.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in a Linux development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with ROS or ROS2.
  • Field testing experience with robotic systems.
  • Ability to design modular, testable, and extensible C++ APIs.
  • Familiarity with Python or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with MIPI camera integration.
  • Proven leadership skills in mentoring engineers and managing technical projects within budget and schedule constraints.


Due to the nature of our funding, this position requires US citizenship or Permanent Resident status. Successful completion of a background check is also a requirement for this role.
