Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Research Technician to join our team at the Idaho National Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining facility and process systems, performing maintenance on equipment, and supporting researchers with loading and unloading advanced research systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain facility and process systems, including hot cells, gloveboxes, and vaults.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support researchers with loading and unloading advanced research systems, remote handling equipment, and shielded casks.
  • Track, package, transfer, receive, and store fissionable materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility operations, equipment performance, production, treatment, and experimental data.
  • Perform technical procedures that range from standard to specialized.
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent and relevant experience.
  • Must meet the expectations of all employees at the laboratory.
  • Demonstrated integrity, mentality, and technical skills for the position.
  • Expected to complete clearance paperwork, qualification, and certification promptly.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" / "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
