Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse Resident I, you will become an integral part of a compassionate and skilled team of healthcare professionals. You will utilize advanced medical technology to provide outstanding patient care.
Unit Details:
The 6100 Medical Floor caters to adult patients with chronic conditions such as COPD, CHF, and diabetes, as well as those recovering from surgical procedures like knee and hip replacements.
Team Collaboration:
Our unit boasts a diverse group of caregivers, from recent graduates to seasoned professionals with over 30 years of experience, all working together to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in a residency curriculum tailored to your individual learning needs.
- Deliver direct nursing care under the guidance of a success coach.
- Assess and adjust priorities for patient care based on needs and available resources.
- Act on data indicating potential health risks to patients.
- Seek guidance when necessary to ensure safe and effective care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient medical records.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). New graduates or those with less than one year of RN experience are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly regarded.
Physical Requirements:
- Full range of motion required, including lifting and handling patients.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Normal vision and hearing capabilities are necessary.
- Capacity to work under pressure and during irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids is possible.
