Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative I to join our team. As a PRN Representative, you will be responsible for performing registration and obtaining information about demographics, insurance, medical, and financial. You will also be required to cross-train to staff all areas of patient access, including front desk, admitting office, ED, and cash register.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform registration and obtain information about demographics, insurance, medical, and financial
  • Cross-train to staff all areas of patient access, including front desk, admitting office, ED, and cash register
  • Function as a Super User and act as a resource for training of new caregivers
  • Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or GED and two years of experience in a customer-facing role, or an associate's degree and one year of experience, or a bachelor's degree. You will also need to have knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders, or completion of a course within one year. Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems are also required.

Physical Requirements

You will need to be able to communicate and exchange accurate information, perform work in a stationary position for extended periods, and work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment. You may also be required to travel throughout the hospital and move up to 25 pounds.
