About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect and Staff Software Engineer to join our core team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural decisions of our cloud products.

You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design, develop, and refine technologies that are critical to our mission and our users. This position offers the opportunity to lead projects and contribute significantly to our technical direction.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and implement scalable, high-performance systems using Golang and Ruby.
  • Lead the technical direction of our projects, making critical decisions on architecture and design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and services.
  • Ensure code quality, sustainability, and scalability through code reviews, mentoring, and best practices.
  • Drive innovation by exploring, recommending, and implementing new technologies and frameworks.
  • Address and improve any technical issues, tech debt, or bugs in a timely manner.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in Golang, Ruby, and related technologies.
Requirements
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Golang and/or Ruby, including deep knowledge of their ecosystems.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems.
  • Proven track record in architecting and developing scalable, high-availability systems.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and analytical approach to challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
