Position Overview:

The Warehouse Operations Specialist is responsible for the receipt and movement of raw materials, components, and packaging supplies to designated departments and locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates and maintains powered forklift trucks, utilizes hand trucks and other equipment, and drives a box truck as needed.
  • May operate banding and wrapping machinery as required.
  • Receives and unloads incoming shipments.
  • Confirms and records counts of incoming and outgoing materials in the operating system, reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Signs bills of lading for incoming shipments and loads miscellaneous materials onto trucks.
  • Follows inspection procedures for specific materials to select, examine, and document the condition of samples.
  • Reports any substandard samples to management.
  • Handles empty skids, pallets, and miscellaneous dunnage, stacking or storing as necessary.
  • Maintains an orderly warehouse and yard storage to optimize available space.
  • Conducts daily production cycle counts as directed by management.
  • Reports shortages of materials and may be required to take inventory at scheduled intervals.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Ensures the work area remains clean and organized.
  • Supplies production lines with necessary materials as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate powered forklifts, hand trucks, small tools, pallets, and computer terminals.
  • Strong numerical skills and organizational abilities, with the capacity to multitask.
  • Valid driver's license and a clear motor vehicle record.
