Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is a key role within Nestle Operational Services Worldwide SA, responsible for driving operational efficiency across the team. This dynamic leader will focus on safety, quality, and productivity, leading and motivating the team to achieve exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate and guide the team to meet all daily targets, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSMs)
- Monitor the performance of the manufacturing team, including safety, quality, cost, and productivity
- Guide the team through the implementation, execution, and improvement of Daily Management Systems, including Safety, Centerline, Clean-Inspect-and-Lubricate, Total Productive Maintenance, and Quality Defect Elimination
- Participate in Daily Directional Setting meetings (DDS) and Gemba walks to ensure high levels of quality, productivity, and associate engagement
- Identify problems and implement positive corrective action
- Motivate the team in maintaining quality and efficiency throughout the department
- Ensure all customer delivery commitments are met according to schedule
- Create a safe and positive work environment for all associates
- Ensure all paperwork is properly documented
- Ensure all team members follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), safety requirements, and procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Production Lead or Supervisory Role within a manufacturing or packaging environment
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree required; Associates Degree preferred
- Work experience or military experience can be in lieu of education
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently to meet daily deadlines and objectives
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and follow up when responses are needed
- Knowledge and proven ability to work effectively in high-performing organizations
- Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills required
- Ability to utilize effective interpersonal skills to communicate and positively influence team members
- Ability to assess potential risks and quickly apply the appropriate corrective actions
- Ability to analyze numbers, determine trends, and make recommendations for actions to be taken
- Ability to motivate and energize others to work toward the achievement of organizational goals and objectives
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, outside consultants, suppliers, and associates
- Ability to successfully collaborate with support functions such as EHS, Quality, Maintenance, Production, Inventory Control, Planning, and Human Resources
- Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, bend, within a packaging environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish)
