POSITION SUMMARY:
Substitute Teacher
This role involves:
- Assisting in the educational development of students under the guidance of the primary teacher.
- Supporting the maintenance of student records for those requiring additional assistance.
- Helping to maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Utilizing resources effectively to enhance classroom activities and community engagement.
- Exhibiting exemplary teaching techniques, including effective questioning, clear assignment communication, and fostering mutual respect.
- Building positive relationships with families to instill confidence in the educational process.
- Guiding students in collaborative play and work.
- Demonstrating genuine care for students while maintaining high expectations.
- Encouraging responsible citizenship through exemplary behavior.
- Creating a classroom environment based on fairness, respect, and the development of responsible citizenship.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A teaching certificate or a bachelor's degree is preferred; a minimum of 60 college credit hours is required.
Experience with students is preferred.
Proficiency in computer use.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal abilities.
A collaborative work ethic is essential.
