Ochsner Health in New Orleans is a renowned healthcare institution seeking a Chief Neonatal Research Officer with expertise in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine to join our expanding team of certified neonatologists.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a principal investigator for clinical trials or recent graduates with experience in this field. We offer a dynamic work environment, collaborating with a team of experienced neonatal nurse practitioners, and participating in multi-center clinical trials supported by an in-house Clinical Trials Unit and dedicated NICU research nurse.

Our State-of-the-Art NICU:

We have a 67-bed, level IV NICU constructed in 2015, featuring private rooms for singleton patients as well as multiples. Our section of fetal echo coordinates care of babies with complex congenital heart diseases. We serve the entire Gulf South region with an established ground and air neonatal transport system.

Supportive Environment:

All modes of respiratory support, including HFJV and HFOV, are available in addition to inhaled nitric oxide. We have one of the longest-standing ECMO programs in the country and total body cooling for qualified infants. Our team participates in the Vermont Oxford Network and has continuous performance improvement initiatives underway.
