Job Summary

The RF Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for telecommunication system engineering functions related to RF/Wireless communications. This includes troubleshooting, testing, and preventative maintenance of In-Building and outdoor, passive and active (Distributed Antenna System) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the DAS Network Operations Center and support services business
  • Coordinate with Carriers, End Users, Facility Managers, and Equipment Vendors
  • Support the efforts of our technicians and engineers and directly support customers
  • Generate status reports and monthly and/or quarterly customer updates
  • Track open trouble tickets and follow through to closure
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation, 24x7
  • Enable growth of the DAS maintenance business and renewal of contracts
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work hands-on with system components such as antennas, fiber optics, coax, and RF amplifiers and receivers
  • Perform Radio Frequency Exposure Studies, Intermodulation and Interference Analysis
  • Coordinate with Wireless Carriers
  • Manage multiple projects on a day-to-day basis
  • Travel to various job sites within New England and other markets
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience or familiarity with radio frequency devices and/or systems is highly desirable
  • Experience troubleshooting DAS systems including CommScope, JMA, SOLID & Corning
  • Familiarity with the basics of IP Networking
  • Multifaceted Professional capable interfacing with customers
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to learn quickly and understand technical materials
  • Ability to shift gears quickly as priorities change
  • A solid understanding of fundamental engineering principles and the ability to effectively work on multiple engineering projects simultaneously
  • Requires knowledge of radio frequency and fiber optic communication technology
  • Must be able to work effectively within a diverse workforce including engineers, project managers, skilled craft workers, consultants, customers, and regulatory agency personnel
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills to be able to effectively communicate complex issues with peers, supervisors, and managers
