We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring their unique needs are met and their progress is monitored.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement, social-emotional development, and behavior management.
- Provide differentiated instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of each student, utilizing assistive technology and adaptive equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure effective communication and coordination of services, promoting a cohesive and supportive team approach.
- Assess and monitor student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for improvement, and utilizing data to inform instruction and drive student growth.
- Master's degree in Special Education or a related field preferred.
- Valid teaching certificate or credential in Special Education.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to develop and implement them effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
