Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing the quality assurance activities for the Q Works Group plant, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and company quality standards for products produced by the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains associates to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Appraises performance and addresses complaints and resolves problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Builts positive associate morale and ensures a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Oversees and directs the efforts of the plant Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) development, auditing, and corrective action plan development.
  • Investigates, reports, and formulates corrective action plans on plant-specific consumer complaints, food safety complaints, and complaint trends.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with company policy.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with safety policies.
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets.
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 3 to 5 year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to four (2-4) years' prior supervisory experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Knowledge of current Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) / Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) regulations.
  • Working knowledge of lab equipment.
