About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Maintenance Manager to lead our daily operations and maintenance functions for multiple sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe working environment for employees.
  • Plan, schedule, and advise the work of employees.
  • Lead and coordinate the work of employees engaged in maintaining high-speed conveyance systems and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist managers in communicating and accomplishing departmental goals and objectives.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, employee training, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Formulate, disseminate, and communicate work standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate and lead Root Cause and Corrective Actions to facilitate continuous improvement and development opportunities.
  • Provide performance management for team development and growth.
  • Plan and monitor staffing levels and labor utilization, including overtime.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience leading and coaching employee performance in a manufacturing environment.
  • 4+ years of compatible experience and/or training.
  • 2+ years of experience with preventive/predictive maintenance of equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, including financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and/or schematics.
  • Understanding of predictive maintenance technologies, such as thermography, vibration analysis, and air-borne ultra-sound.
  • Proven knowledge of using maintenance systems to achieve world-class equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to travel off-site as needed.
  • Physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
