Job Title: Inspector

RK&K's Construction Management and Engineering team is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team in North Carolina.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Inspector to perform complex and routine inspections on materials, processes, safety, and documentation to ensure construction conforms to plans, specifications, and special provisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections to evaluate if appropriate materials and construction processes are being used
  • Review drawings to prepare for inspections and understand the design of the construction
  • Document the results of inspections and communicate with supervisors
  • Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation
  • Inspect work zones for proper traffic control setup, erosion control devices, and maintenance thereof
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of inspection experience required
  • Experience and certifications in NCDOT inspection and materials testing preferred
  • Valid driver's license and favorable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
