About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Design Team Member to join our team at Planterra. As a key member of our design department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through innovative design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Creative Director to develop and implement interior design projects from concept to completion.
  • Meet with clients to understand their design vision and budget for interior landscape projects, taking accurate measurements and photos of the space as needed.
  • Create compelling design proposals using Planterra's estimating software, adhering to our brand standards and guidelines.
  • Research and specify products for project execution, ensuring seamless integration with our operations team.
  • Present designs and proposals to clients, closing sales and managing ongoing client communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with our Service Manager to ensure smooth transitions from installation to service phase, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in weekly Operations and Sales/Design department meetings to stay informed and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design, industrial design, or a related visual discipline is preferred.
  • Professional experience in client and project management, as well as B2B sales, is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks accordingly.
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is a plus, as is proficiency in Microsoft 365.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Location

This role is based in Southeast Michigan, with frequent travel required to visit project locations and conduct onsite visits with clients.
