Key Responsibilities

As an Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic development and manufacturing team, focusing on the assembly of sensing platforms for advanced medical robotic systems. This position is essential to our growth and involves:

  • Fabricating mechanical, electrical, and fiber optic assemblies on the production line.
  • Performing tests on fiber optic assemblies to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Adhering to established assembly and testing protocols meticulously.
  • Conducting basic troubleshooting for manufacturing challenges.
  • Assisting with experiments led by manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Documenting test outcomes using both paper and digital formats (e.g., Word, Excel, SAP).
  • Executing SAP transactions related to manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to enhance assembly and manufacturing techniques.
  • Complying with all corporate safety and production standards.
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education and Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An associate degree or equivalent from a technical institution is preferred.

Working Environment:

  • Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift weights exceeding 30 lbs.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing with ERP and/or document control systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar quality management systems is preferred.
  • Hands-on technician with proven teamwork skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Experience with fiber optics and soldering is a plus.
