Global Data Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Service Desk Operations Specialist to join our team of innovative professionals. This is an entry-level position with the flexibility to be a fully remote position within the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
- De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied customers, offering patient assistance and support.
- Guide customers through troubleshooting, navigating our company's systems, or using our products or services.
- Collaborate with other technical support professionals to improve customer service and resolve complex issues.
- Accurately document all service interactions within our prescribed tracking mechanism.
Requirements
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of PC hardware configurations and troubleshooting.
- Great active listening skills.
- Experience de-escalating customer issues in an enterprise environment or experience in an environment with a highly structured escalation process.
- Knowledge of desktop operating systems, including Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.
- A patient and empathetic attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- An associate degree in IT or higher.
- Prior experience supporting 30-40 customer interactions regarding non-technical issues in a large corporate environment.
- Experience with Active Directory.
- 1+ years of experience supporting desktops/laptops/printers in a production support center environment.
