We are seeking an experienced Industrial Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak in Decatur, Illinois.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide technical support to production crews, ensuring the maintenance and repair of industrial vehicles and equipment. This role is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to a safe working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain industrial vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Identify and report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role or an associate degree with 20 hours of industrial training.
  • Forklift and Crane certification (will be provided if needed).
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
  • Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and manual labor.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
