As a key member of the maintenance team at El Milagro Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our mechanical systems.
Primary Responsibilities:- Lead larger maintenance projects and coordinate necessary resources to fulfill work orders effectively.
- Maintain an organized fabrication workshop, managing raw materials, tools, and welding equipment.
- Expertise in stainless steel custom fabrication is essential:
- Proficient in using shop machinery such as shears, press brakes, and band saws.
- Skilled in T.I.G welding, particularly with light gauge sheet metal ranging from 18 gauge and above.
- Capable of taking precise measurements and creating in-house drawings for fabrication.
- Understand sheet metal layout and fabricate fittings including square to round transitions and round elbows.
- Experience in MIG and stick welding, both horizontally and vertically.
- Willingness to perform field installations and repairs, including climbing and working at heights.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on motors and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Assist in the installation and modification of mechanical equipment.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Report directly to the Maintenance Manager regarding project status, challenges, and suggestions.
- Set daily and weekly objectives in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain detailed records and seek clarification when needed.
- Adhere to a professional dress code while on duty.
- Promote a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to efficiently tackle complex tasks.
- Stay vigilant about the work environment, proactively reporting issues and suggesting improvements.
- Communicate your needs to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency in the workplace.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Availability for early morning and weekend shifts as required.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in an industrial mechanic role or a mechanical degree from a trade school.
- Basic math and writing proficiency.
- Experience in maintaining industrial machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs throughout the workday.
- Dependable, goal-oriented, and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
GED or High School Diploma is required.
Preferred Skills:- Attention to detail.
- Legible handwriting.
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective time management.
Consistent attendance and adherence to safety protocols are essential for this role.
