Role Summary:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. This role includes selecting appropriate imaging techniques, managing equipment, inputting and monitoring patient information, and ensuring the accurate transfer of images.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technologist Program, including required clinical hours.
- Experience: Proven experience and proficiency relevant to the position.
- Licensure/Certifications: Must possess ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification or be eligible for advanced registration (must achieve advanced registry within 18 months). BLS - Basic Life Support certification is also required.
- Additional Skills & Knowledge:
• Proficient in IV Insertion
• Strong understanding of medical imaging technology, cross-sectional anatomy, and 3-D visualization. - Working Conditions and Requirements:
• Ability to operate equipment, lift, and assist patients.
• Capacity for prolonged standing or walking.
• Capability to manage high-pressure situations effectively. - Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Preferred Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Preferred Licensure: ARRT or ARMRIT - Advanced registry in MRI.
