We are looking for a dedicated and dependable construction labor specialist to support our expanding operations at R.I.C. Construction Co., Inc. In this role, you will be tasked with assisting construction teams, managing heavy equipment, and adhering to all safety protocols on-site. A strong commitment to quality and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload tools, prepare materials for construction, organize supplies, and set up necessary equipment
  • Follow directives from the construction manager or site supervisor
  • Review and interpret construction plans
  • Utilize various construction tools and machinery to accomplish daily tasks
  • Adhere to all safety regulations while operating equipment
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including helmets, ear protection, gloves, safety goggles, and suitable clothing
  • Complete assigned duties efficiently and within designated timeframes
  • Assist in the construction of scaffolding and temporary structures
  • Safely operate a range of tools such as pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, and blowtorches
  • Prepare construction sites by excavating, moving soil, or compacting areas
  • Provide support to contractors including tradespeople such as electricians, carpenters, and masons as required
  • Maintain cleanliness by removing debris and waste
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly after use

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or trade apprenticeships are advantageous
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable with heights and climbing ladders
  • Possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
