We are looking for a dedicated and dependable construction labor specialist to contribute to our expanding operations at R.I.C. Construction Co., Inc. In this role, you will assist construction teams, operate heavy equipment, and adhere to all safety protocols on site. A strong commitment to quality and precision is crucial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload tools, prepare materials for construction, organize supplies, and set up necessary equipment.
  • Follow directives from the construction manager or site supervisor.
  • Review and interpret construction plans.
  • Utilize various construction tools and machinery to accomplish daily tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations while operating equipment.
  • Ensure proper safety gear, including helmets, ear protection, gloves, safety glasses, and appropriate clothing, is worn at all times.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes.
  • Assist in the assembly of scaffolding and temporary structures.
  • Safely operate a range of tools such as pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, and blowtorches.
  • Prepare construction sites by excavating, moving soil, or compacting areas as needed.
  • Provide support to contractors, including craft workers, electricians, carpenters, and cement masons.
  • Maintain cleanliness by removing debris and ensuring a tidy work environment.
  • Ensure all construction tools and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or trade apprenticeships are advantageous.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management.
