Key Responsibilities:
The Nutritional Culinary Specialist will be responsible for preparing meals that cater to our residents' needs. This role includes:
- Preparing and serving meals to residents in our community
- Meeting all special dietary requirements and preparing modified food textures as needed
- Ensuring adherence to food safety standards and maintaining accurate records
- Keeping dining and kitchen areas clean and organized, including proper disposal of waste
- Understanding and following dietary guidelines and menu specifications
- Maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring its proper functioning
- Participating in mandatory training sessions and team meetings
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively engage with staff and residents
- Basic literacy skills
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Prior experience in food service is preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety protocols
- A high school diploma or GED
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
