Electrician II Position

Baltimore County, MD is seeking a skilled Electrician II to join our team. As an Electrician II, you will be responsible for performing journeyman-level electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose electrical problems and determine appropriate methods of repair.
- Estimate cost of labor and materials.
- Determine the layout of projects.
- Complete projects according to blueprints, plans, or schematics.
- Install, test, and replace components of electrical circuitry and internal power distribution systems.
- Test, repair, and replace or install electrical generators, transformers, and uninterrupted power systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair motors, controls, and other electrical components of equipment and appliances.
- Install, test, and repair door bells, buzzers, fire alarm and security systems, thermostats, lighting fixtures, and communications systems.
- Lead and instruct lesser skilled workers.
- Prepare and keep records of time and materials used.
- Use tools and equipment of the electrical trade.
- Follow and ensure compliance with safety procedures and electrical codes.
- Drive an automobile, light truck, or commercial-weight vehicle to transport workers, tools, or materials between job sites.
- Possession of a State of Maryland Journeyman's Electrician License.
- Registration as a Journeyman Electrician in another jurisdiction within the State of Maryland, plus sufficient experience to qualify for Baltimore County reciprocity, may not be substituted for the required Baltimore County or State-wide License.
- Possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a non-commercial, class C Maryland driver's license is required at the time of appointment.
The work of this classification entails the performance of heavy physical labor including bending, stooping, climbing ladders, lifting and carrying heavy objects, and the operation of tools and equipment. Duties require exposure to potentially hazardous conditions such as high voltage electricity and adverse weather. Some duties may require travel between work sites.
