Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rehabilitation Technician to join our team at RehabVisions. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to our occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication and Administration
    • Answer phones and take messages professionally, ensuring seamless communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Greet patients warmly and assist with paperwork, including intake forms, medical history, and insurance information.
    • Perform clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing, maintaining accurate records and confidentiality.
    • Support front-office processes and appointment reminders, ensuring timely and efficient patient scheduling.
  • Patient and Therapist Support
    • Follow directions from supervising therapists during patient mobility, transfers, ambulation, and therapeutic interventions, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
    • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and facility rules, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
    • Maintain a service-oriented approach with all interactions, fostering positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory monitoring, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
  • Department Maintenance
    • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized department, promoting a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
    • Help reduce costs and improve productivity, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
    • Foster positive relationships with the healthcare team, patients, and caregivers, upholding the values of RehabVisions.
    • Adhere to safety, risk, and emergency procedures, prioritizing patient and staff well-being.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Must be at least 16 years old and maintain regular attendance, demonstrating a strong commitment to our team.
  • Language Skills
    • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence, ensuring effective communication with patients and staff.
    • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one settings, promoting clear understanding and cooperation.
  • Reasoning Skills
    • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Other Skills and Abilities
    • Experience with data entry and accurate typing, maintaining accurate records and confidentiality.
    • Ability to relate positively and professionally with others, fostering positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Flexibility and willingness to adapt for efficient operations, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
    • Ability to perform job functions with or without reasonable accommodations, upholding the values of RehabVisions.
Work Environment
  • Moderate noise levels, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids, especially in hospital and nursing home settings.
  • Must be tolerant of patients recovering from surgeries, illnesses, and wounds, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
