Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at SENTA Partners. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Conduct clinical duties, such as taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and administering medications as directed by physicians.
  • Interact professionally with patients, ensuring a positive and respectful experience.
  • Accompany and settle patients in the exam room, taking vital signs and entering them into the electronic medical record.
  • Obtain current medication lists from patients and verify allergies during every request for medication and office visit.
  • Perform medication reconciliation and update patient records accordingly.
  • Acquire patient history and chief complaint, documenting in complete sentences with proper grammar.
  • Perform necessary office tests, such as rapid strep tests and smell tests, as requested by physicians and document results in patient records.
  • Update patient surgeries in the Surgical History and notify providers of patient readiness for examination.
  • Obtain patient signed informed consent and administer intramuscular injections, documenting completion in the electronic health record.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government laws, rules, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, coworkers, and self, adhering to policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • CPR Certification
