Position Overview – Retail Sales Representative/Cashier

The primary role of the Retail Sales Representative is to enhance sales by consistently delivering top-notch customer service, which aligns with our mission of being "the most helpful hardware stores on the planet".

  • Prioritize customer needs over tasks.
  • Stay informed about all promotions and advertisements to assist customers effectively.
  • Implement daily operational objectives and priorities as directed by store management.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and its applications.
  • Demonstrate merchandising skills and capabilities.
  • Identify merchandising challenges, stock discrepancies, pricing issues, labeling, and signage concerns within your designated area and notify management accordingly.

Education and Training:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; we are willing to train high school students.
Must possess a desire to learn.

Experience:

Experience in building relationships and engaging with customers is preferred.
Trade skills coupled with a personality that aligns with our Core Values and mission are advantageous, but training is available.

Skills and Knowledge:

Familiarity with retail computer systems is a plus.
A strong team player with excellent interpersonal abilities.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate business needs.
