Job Summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Director RN to lead our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing clinical operations, ensuring the highest quality of care, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for resident care, managing and directing the nursing team to promote the health and wellness of the resident population.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinical providers to coordinate care and services for residents.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans, ensuring that each resident receives personalized care and attention.
  • Manage the department budget, ensuring that labor and other expenses are aligned with the community's bottom line.
  • Partner with the Regional Director of Resident Care and/or Executive Director to deliver and participate in Sunrise University training and self-study programs.
  • Recruit, hire, and train clinical team members, and is responsible for performance management, evaluations, and engagement.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited college or school of nursing with a current state license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Minimum two (2) years RN experience, with at least one (1) year experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environment preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applied nursing practices, techniques, and methods in accordance with federal, state/province, and board of nursing requirements.
