Job Title: Locksmith Master

We are seeking a highly skilled Locksmith Master to join our team at the Louisiana Department of State Civil Service. As a Locksmith Master, you will be responsible for independently repairing and installing locks and related specialized equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Opens large safe locks by turning dial and listening to the sound of tumbler or by drilling through the lock.
  • Reads schematics and disarms electronic or mechanical anti-intrusion devices.
  • Functions as consultant to management.
  • Requisitions and stocks parts.
  • Reads blueprints.
  • Performs the duties of a Locksmith.
Requirements:
  • Three years of experience in the locksmithing trade.
  • Training in the locksmithing trade will substitute for a maximum of two years of the required experience on a month for month basis.
